About the artwork
This Chinoiserie art print depicts a Java sparrow perched on a blossoming branch, preening its feathers. Its gentle blue-grey plumage, delicate pink belly, and contrasting black and white head markings meet vibrant yellow blossoms that loosely entwine across the cream-colored background. Chinese characters and a red seal stamp at the edge of the image give the motif its authentic, calligraphic touch and evoke traditional East Asian bird and flower painting.
Framed above the bed, this art print unfolds a calm, almost meditative effect in the bedroom and harmonizes particularly well with sage green or muted wall colors.
