21 × 30 cm

Ideal for gallery walls, narrow wall space or smaller rooms. Easy to combine and a good accent above a dresser or desk.

30 × 40 cm

Versatile and balanced. A good size for smaller walls, hallways or a reading corner, on its own or as part of a set.

40 × 50 cm

Present without dominating. A popular choice for living rooms, bedrooms and the study.

50 × 70 cm

Our most chosen size. Above a sideboard or as a set over sofas and dining tables, with real presence yet still balanced.

70 × 100 cm

A format for the grand gesture. Above a sofa or bed, or on its own on a free wall. As a set it defines the room.

Measure the wall

Leave some air around the picture. A print or a set should take up roughly two thirds to three quarters of the wall width. Too small and the wall looks empty, in which case a second motif or a set helps. Too large and the picture feels hemmed in.

Work with the furniture

Around two thirds of the furniture width, roughly 60 to 75 per cent, tends to look right. A gap of 15 to 30 cm to the edge of the furniture keeps the whole thing balanced.

Hang at eye level

The centre of the picture should sit at eye level, usually 145 to 155 cm above the floor.

Try it first

Mark the size you have in mind on the wall with masking tape and leave it for a day or two. If you plan to use a frame, hang the empty frame or cut paper to size.

For a gallery wall, lay several paper shapes out on the floor or tape them to the wall before you decide. Larger formats work as anchors, smaller ones fill in around them. Even gaps of 5 to 10 cm keep it calm and ordered.

Framed and ready to hang

Choose a frame and your art print arrives framed. No trip to the shop, no cutting to size, no fiddling the print into place — unpack it and hang it up.

The frames

Solid wood mouldings, slim profile. Light and dark wood keep their open grain, gold and black have a smooth surface. Glazing is acrylic rather than glass, which arrives intact and weighs far less on the wall.

Without a mount

The print sits edge to edge in the frame, so the size you choose is the size of the print. The rebate covers a few millimetres along each edge.

About the artwork

The poster shows a detail of the baroque painting "Marie Marguerite Bontemps" (1696) by Nicolas de Largillierre. It shows an elegantly outstretched hand under a waterfall. The hand is illuminated by soft light that highlights subtle details such as the water and the decorations of the dress. A fascinating accent for baroque or dark academia decor.

Materials

Your art print will be printed on high-quality, uncoated premium paper with a smooth surface. Both the paper and the inks used are age-resistant, which means they retain their quality and color for many years. The matte surface ensures that the colors have a special depth and the paper does not reflect, giving the print a classy and high-quality look.

Please note that frames are not included and colors may vary depending on monitor settings.
