Japandi Pine Canvas Print

This Japandi canvas print depicts a pine tree whose trunk rises along the left edge, with branches extending far across the space to the right. Fine black lines on a warm, cream-colored background, dense clusters of needles at the tips of the branches, and an almost empty lower half create a tranquil wall art piece that thrives on its asymmetry.

Above a living room sofa, the landscape format mirrors the width of the furniture without becoming overpowering. It works equally well in the bedroom or above a low sideboard in the hallway, as it avoids bold colors and blends seamlessly with wood, linen, and light-colored walls. The natural wood frame picks up the warm beige tones, while the black frame emphasizes the graphic linework.

The original work is by Mia Bake, who drew this study of a pine tree in 1921. The motif is reminiscent of Japanese ink drawings, where empty space is just as important as form, making it a perfect fit for Japandi and Wabi Sabi styles as well as minimalist homes. Up close, the dense branches dissolve into countless needles, and it is this interplay between the tranquil overall effect and the fine detail that makes one stop and take a closer look at the picture.

Your design is printed to order using fade-resistant inks on high-quality 400 g/m² cotton canvas. The matte surface reduces reflections and ensures a calm color reproduction. The canvas is then hand-stretched over a stretcher frame.

Shadow gap frame
The stretched canvas print is placed in a shadow gap frame. A narrow gap remains between the canvas and the frame, making the image appear to float within the frame. This framing adds extra depth to the canvas print and allows the motif to clearly take center stage. 

The frame is available in natural, brown, gold, and black. Natural, brown, and black preserve the visible wood grain, while the gold version has a smooth, laminated surface without wood grain. 

Dimensions
The shadow gap frame is 1.2 cm wide and the gap between the canvas and the frame measures 0.5 cm. The total depth is 5.3 cm. The motifs are available in different sizes; you can find the respective total dimensions in the size overview.

Hanging
Your canvas print is delivered framed and ready to hang. Depending on the size, one or two screws in the wall are sufficient for hanging, and the
frame is hooked directly onto them. Fastening elements are not included.

Since every product is made to order, we recommend carefully
checking the dimensions before purchasing. Especially with larger
formats, it is helpful to ensure beforehand that the desired picture
fits well in the room.

You can request a return within 14 days of delivery. Should your canvas
unexpectedly arrive damaged or defective, we will, of course,
