Der gefallene Engel – Akt Leinwandbild

Ein Engel liegt rücklings am Boden, die Arme ausgebreitet, ein Bein angewinkelt, das Gesicht abgewandt. Seine weißen Flügel sind zerzaust und fast nur noch Farbspuren. Um ihn herum fallen dunkle Pinselstriche in Olivgrün, Schwarz und Ocker wie Felswände nach unten, oben blitzen Rosa und Blau auf.  Ein Akt als Leinwandbild, der eher erzählt als zeigt.

Im Schlafzimmer, im Lesezimmer oder im Flur setzt das dunkle Hochformat einen starken Akzent, besonders vor hellen Wänden. Seine Oliv- und Erdtöne passen zu warmem Holz, Leinen und Keramik, aber auch zu dunklen Wänden in Grün oder Braun. Der schwarze Rahmen betont das Dunkel, der braune verbindet das Bild mit Holz, der naturfarbene bringt Licht hinein, der goldene nimmt das Ocker auf.

Die Vorlage ist „Der gefallene Engel“ von Willem de Zwart aus dem Jahr 1885. Die freie, pastose Malweise erinnert an eine impressionistische Ölskizze, die dunklen Töne passen zu Moody Interieurs und zu Dark Academia. Das Wandbild zeigt keinen strahlenden Engel, sondern den Moment nach dem Sturz, und gerade diese Verletzlichkeit macht es zu einem Bild, das lange nachwirkt.

Your design is printed to order using fade-resistant inks on high-quality 400 g/m² cotton canvas. The matte surface reduces reflections and ensures a calm color reproduction. The canvas is then hand-stretched over a stretcher frame.

Shadow gap frame
The stretched canvas print is placed in a shadow gap frame. A narrow gap remains between the canvas and the frame, making the image appear to float within the frame. This framing adds extra depth to the canvas print and allows the motif to clearly take center stage. 

The frame is available in natural, brown, gold, and black. Natural, brown, and black preserve the visible wood grain, while the gold version has a smooth, laminated surface without wood grain. 

Dimensions
The shadow gap frame is 1.2 cm wide and the gap between the canvas and the frame measures 0.5 cm. The total depth is 5.3 cm. The motifs are available in different sizes; you can find the respective total dimensions in the size overview.

Hanging
Your canvas print is delivered framed and ready to hang. Depending on the size, one or two screws in the wall are sufficient for hanging, and the
frame is hooked directly onto them. Fastening elements are not included.

Each canvas print is individually made for you. Production takes 2 to 5 working days, after which your picture will be in transit for about 2 to 3 working days. As soon as your package has been shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number. You can find more information here.

Returns

Since every product is made to order, we recommend carefully
checking the dimensions before purchasing. Especially with larger
formats, it is helpful to ensure beforehand that the desired picture
fits well in the room.

You can request a return within 14 days of delivery. Should your canvas
unexpectedly arrive damaged or defective, we will, of course,
